FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make a reservation?
We have tried to make this process fun and simple. Simple click on the Homes & Reservations button
to bring you to the listings of the rental properties. From here some of the subdivisions available to see
if there is one in particular you prefer.
Next click on the button at the top of the Homes & Reservations page that has the number of bedrooms you
will need to accommodate the number of guests in your party. This will show you all of the homes and villas
with that number of bedrooms. View the homes and villas on the page and review the descriptions and amenities
for each. Be sure to check for the subdivision name if you have a preference. Once you have decided your
preferred home or villa, note the code next to the main picture for the property as this is how we will know
your choice.
Next, simply give us a call or complete the form at the bottom of the
Homes & Reservations page or on the Contact Us page to ensure it is available on the dates you desire. We will assist you with
finding a similar property if the property is not available when you are planning to vacation. Once we have the
home or villa selected and available on the dates you desire, you complete your reservation by simply paying any
monies necessary based on the timing of you reservation.
What happens if I need to cancel my reservation?
Should a cancellation be necessary then your deposit will be lost. Should the cancellation occur after
the balance has been paid then the full amount will be lost. We strongly advise you to purchase some form of
travel/trip insurance as soon as your booking is confirmed - this should cover any cancellations for reasons beyond
your control. If a client does not pay the balance when it becomes due then we reserve the right to cancel the
booking and retain the deposit. In the event of a cancellation then any security deposit already paid will be
returned to the client.
What if I want pool heat?
Please note that the swimming pool is a free facility included along with the pool home you are renting.
Most but not all pools have a pool heater that can be switched on at an extra cost, this also services the spa if
applicable (the spa will NOT get warm unless you order pool heating). We are happy to arrange this for you should
you require it.
MAINTENANCE NOTE:
In occasional severe winter conditions is it possible that the pool
heater may not be able to maintain the water at a temperature of 80 degrees - this does NOT constitute a malfunction
. ANY issues with the pool heating should be directed to the local management company whilst you are in
attendance at the home so that they can deal with your concerns. Sweet Vacation
Homes does not retain any
part of the pool heating fee that you pay - we simply arrange for the heating to be turned on and pass on the pool heating
money. We are not able to get involved in any dispute over pool heating - whatever the reason.
Am I allowed to park a motor home at my rental home?
General Parking Information: Most of our homes have parking for one or two vehicles. Some homes have garages
but these are not always accessible - especially if the homeowner has installed games equipment in the garage.
PLEASE NOTE that most homes are on subdivisions that have an active Homeowners Association in place. Homeowners
Associations very rarely allow overnight parking of RV's, Boats, Campervans, Trailers or any kind of oversize vehicles.
Many also prohibit on-street parking - if you intend bringing any of these kinds of vehicles then you need to make
your own parking arrangements. If you have any questions in this respect please check with one of our booking agents
and they will advise.
Do the homes have barbeque grills?
Some home and villa owners refuse to allow BBQ's in their homes because of the mess they can make. Those that do
allow BBQ's do so subject to them being used in accordance with Florida State Law. Read the home or villa manual or
information notices for details.
